It sounds like things are moving a bit too fast in the euthanize direction here. Blindness is generally not a reason to put a dog to sleep as long as they can be kept safe (block stairs, etc.).
Quality of life is what should be looked at. If she is doing very well on teh steroids besides blindness, then I don't think you need to make that decision right now.
So is an MRI and spinal tap out of the question now? Because they can't really diagnose this sort of thing without testing...
And it doesn't even sound like they ruled out a shunt yet which could be operable. More should be done than an ultrasound with bile acids that high and these symptoms.
