I totally undertand and respect your opinion, I just to think the same, when I saw a friend of mine do this cut, I thought to my self well if you want to cut your yorkie like schnauzer why don't you get one lol, but then I saw the lion cut, and I try on Phoebe, she has a thick coat and she pant a lot in the summer, when at nite is cool down you can put a light top on her and she don't look like she don't has the cut at all, she mat so easy and don't love much to be groom, she seems more happy too, now Shayna and Melody are less hair and they are so easy to groom that is why they stay with the long coat
Ps. My two cats get this cut too in the summer lol
