at what age to puppies lose their puppy coat. i have a long hair chahuahua/ yorkie mix. his top coat is silky but hs still has quite a big puppy coat. it is becomming hot here and will be hot (over +19) for atleast the next 2 weeks. im considering shaving him so he isnt so hot but i dont know if he will be losing his puppy fur soon. he is 11 weeks old.
you can see how fluffy he is.
from the 4rd picture it looks like he will be silky when he is older. what do you guys think?
