Wish I knew the answer. My Betty Boop licks and bites our fireplace bricks and mortar. Somehow she can get concrete pieces and eats them. I'm glad to know about the calcium thing. I'm going to call my vet next week and ask him about this. BTW, she licks carpet, too.
