I have no idea if this indicates kidney failure. But, I would strongly suggest a consultation with Susan Davis and Dr. Gordon of the VCA Arroyo Animal Hospital in Southern CA. They have helped so many of our babies and have saved lives where other vets either didn't have answers or recommended putting them down.....
