I have a 9lb. boy who has started some strange behaviors. He has always used the doggie door to go outside to use the bathroom or play in our fenced in backyard---now he is terrified of going back there. As a matter of fact, he won't go unless I carry him out, and then he'll just stand there looking at the ground like it's going to eat him. I realize something out there has scared him so I'm going out with him every time and really praising him if he pees---lately he's been peeing inside and he's been fully trained forever! My question is how do I get him to overcome this fear. I will go with him every time he goes out now, so if something is out there I can help him. By the way I also have a six lb. girl who is not bothered by the back yard at all---runs all over back there. Funny thing is if I take him in the front, he runs around like crazy--no problem, but I really need him to use the back, because it is fenced.
Any advice on how to get him over his fear??? Sorry this was so long.
Thanks!
