Some breeders do want to be informed if the dog is lost, but does she contact you if she hears from the microchip company? Not sure what show breeder has to do with it, do you have breeding rights? Joey's breeder had it written in the contract that she has to approve of the place if we ever rehome Joey, or if something happens to us. I like the idea that she keeps close contact and feels responsible for all the offspring her dog produces.
