I would let her stay in her crate if that makes her feel safe right now, if possible put the crate in an expen with her food, water, blankets, toys, etc. and keep the door to the crate open... see if she will venture out on her own.

Whenever you approach her for whatever reason make sure you have a VERY YUMMY, high value treat, like bits of cheese or chicken... you want her to start associating you with really really good things... you should have anyone else who may need to approach her do the same as well.

Try to keep her environment quiet and peaceful for now, no need to drag her out to the petstore or friends houses or anything like that for the time being... give her a chance to adjust to you first, then you can start on socialization.
