Personally I still prefer to take mine even if they have to stay in the hotel for periods of time, they stay alone at home... there is no difference. They would rather get to come and spend most of the time with me, then be left at home for days. I dont take my dogs when I go out to dinner at home, no reason they cant stay alone when I go out to dinner in another city.
