I also want to know do you have buyers that ask for show quality and can they be shown? Are you honest with them and say that their color is not up to the breed standard and that you are breeding away from the orginial standard? Do you tell them that eventually they will be allowed to show? Which I'm sorry to say won't be happening in the near future. I've been wanting to know these answers for awhile now since I get involved in some of these threads. The Parti's are suppose to be a yorkshire terrier with a major color fault so why wouldn't you refer anyone wanting a yorkshire terrier to the YTCA breed standard? I feel these are honest questions.

I think it is the other way around, the YTCA is afraid of the Partis.
I have written and written the YTCA several times and they do not even have the decency or the courage to reply. Now for a club that is suppose to be the parent club why is it that they wont even return an email and absolutely ignore any requests i have made, that tells me a whole lot about that club. I own yorkshire terriers and they are the parent club, arent they suppose to answer questions when people ask them?
The PYTC website DOES state that the partis cannot be shown in AKC.
Lets really tell what the YTCA is afraid of...........they are afraid of how many partis are getting registered, the numbers are getting there, its just a matter of time when the parti's Equal or out number the traditional color.
As far as show quality, yes some of us are striving for show quality. I for one am buying show females to breed to my parti males and I am going to show my parti carriers in AKC shows.
Now back to the OP, which was ,What is the difference between a Parti and a Biewer? it wasnt can I show a Parti, it wasnt can I breed a parti to a biewer, it wasnt what does YTCA have to do with the partis and biewers and on and on.
Stick to the original subject please and there will certainly be less arguing.
