Default Is it Seperation anxiety or did I have a bad babysitter????

Mack is my 8 month old furbaby. From the time I brought him home at 12 weeks through now I have brought him to work with me at least one out of the 3 days a week I work. I am a social worker at a nursing home. He is loved by everyone. I was INSANE when we brought him home with the potty training and he has it down. He goes outside, even in the snow! He is totally attached to me over my husband and our daughter who is 16. Mack loves them, but he is completely attached to me, and me to him .

Last Week my husband and I had to go away on short notice. We left he and our daughter home alone together for the first time for both. I wanted to take him with me, but we got the dog for my daughter and she is jealous he bonded with me. She wanted me to leave him home to keep her company.

So remember my daughter is 16....not totally responsible. I told her that she needed to make sure she let him out and we also called her every two hours.

This morning (2 days after we got back) i caught him pooping in the guest bedroom. I also found some old poop (maybe a few days old but you know you can never be to sure). We also found some downstairs. When I caught him in the act, I realized that when we woke up this morning i didnt put him right out because he didnt want to go outside. He obviously had to go to the bathroom. Had I forced him to go outside do you think he would have gone? Or do you think he would have held in and come in and pooped in the house.

THis is the first incident of any potty training issues. Do you think seperation anxiety or do you think my daughter didnt take him out enough over the weekend? What do i do????

Please help. I love him and I dont know what to do.
