I too am going to try the bell training soon. Farrah only has the kitchen to roam in and is not near a door to let me know when she has to go out. Also I know she would use the jingly bells as a toy. So I bought the "Tell Bell". It is like a bell on a service counter. It is stationery on the floor so less likely to become a toy. The nice thing is that it comes with directions for use.
For you, I would jingle the bells every time you take your furbaby out. That was they will associate the bell with potty. And use your "go potty" command as you go.
