Mother dogs usually hold their puppies on their backs and growl a little to teach their puppy who's the Alpha dog. You might want to try it. It may sound stupid and silly but it actually does work. I had my sister's kids do it when we first got my yorkie. He use to fight with them all the time but now he's learned.
As for the barking, try this thing called "pet corrector." Its a can of compressed air they sell at petco. It makes a loud hissing sound which scares/distracts the yorkie from what it was doing. My yorkie use to bark at every stranger which made it impossible to bring him out. I took him to petco once and the trainer had to interfere because he was barking so much. She did a quick spray (not towards the dog but behind her back) and said no bark. My yorkie got so scared he stopped barking. She instructed me to use it whenever he started barking. I did so and within a week he listens to the "no bark" command. |
