So sorry to hear this.... I had a very similar situation with my 16 yr. old poodle before getting Tatum. Syring feeding him the last couple days until finally we think he had a stroke and couldn't stand up and pottied all over himself. I knew that would be our last trip to the vet with him. It was heartwrenching and there wasn't a dry eye in that office. I did hold him all the way home looking into his face and had a hard time giving him to my husband for his burial. Brings tears to my eyes now even 6 years later. It will definitely take time for you to heal but you will never forget your baby. I know I haven't. Just be grateful for all those years you had together. I know it's hard to look at it that way when the pain is so fresh but it will get better.
