She had cluster seizures for awhile which was very frightening. Her last episode was four years ago when she had 48 hours of seizures. I was afraid I was going to lose her.
Knock wood, she hasn't had a seizure in a couple of years. I have also been able to keep her liver healthy with Marin and Denosyl and a homecooked liver friendly diet. Her ALT is completely normal (79) after 10 years on Phenobarbital. She has to be on a very high dose, unfortunately, even w/KBr. I'm sure she was having seizures before I adopted her and her former owner didn't take her to the vet. Had she been on medication earlier, her epilepsy might not be so bad. She was having a seizure every three days or so when I adopted her.
