I'm so sorry to hear this, I know you must be devastated, the link Megansmama provided also has some wonderful link to help find a dog. Here's the complete list of links. Recovery Tips: Lost Pet Related Links | Missing Pet Partnership

A couple of the links that sound really promising is. Lost Dog | Lost Cat | Missing Dogs | Stolen Pets | Lost Pet Alert Service . You list the phone number where the pet was lost, and within minutes an automatic phone service calls houses sounding that number. People are asked to keep on the lookout.

Another link provided is Animal Shelters.Org it has an Animal Shelter directory search by state or zip code. Animal Shelter directory listed by state Taking a poster to the surrounding shelters is highly recommended. Most have bulletin boards.

If you are listed with a microchip company or the AKC lost and found, you should also call them, and they have a calling network that will notify vets in the area, as well as shelters. I'm praying for a speedy recovery.
