Nancy, I hope you don't mind - I printed off the pictures of Joey to take to the groomer with me. I love the way his little body is done and Murphy's built a lot like Joey I think, just with really dark coloring. I printed out Perrella's pics of Zhoie to take, too - I want Murphy's face done like that.
Any suggestions for questions I need to ask when I start calling groomers? I'm really nervous about taking my baby to someone else so any advice would be appreciated. |
YEAH! You won't be disappointed providing you have a good groomer! LOL! WOW, I don't know what to tell you about finding a good groomer. They are SO hard to find. I just happened to get lucky with this one. Believe it or not she was the Salon Mgr. at my local PetSmart. And she was the ONLY one I would let touch my dogs. She no longer works at PetSmart but now comes to my home. Boy....is THAT nice! See if you have a Mobile Groomer in your area. That way you know you can be there. Many groomers don't let you "in the back" when they groom. I don't like that. I would make sure they don't put them in kennels to blow dry and that they don't tranquilize. Believe it or not, some groomers will give dogs a sedative. If you have a local dog club or even your Vet, you can contact them and see if they can make a recommendation. Good luck and don't forget to send me a pic when it's all done!
