I can say the only protein my girl can tolerate well is fish. Not recommending it, but for her it is the only thing that doesn't mess up her intestines.
After we tried two foods for her intestines, we were told that we need to find something homecooked that will work before any recommendations of rx foods would be made.
And also it seems like this is a guessing game now. These rx foods do have different actions and it's really not about pulling one out of a hat at random. So if one food is really not working, maybe it's time to find one with a different make up/guaranteed analysis (while leaving out any ingreidents of concern). |
you know i have a feeling fish will be best for her; she was on halo hollistic food wild salmon and she did fine for 10 months on it; but then she got sick again. however that food did contain lots of other ingredients.
the vet thinks she has both ibd and intolenence/allergies to food ; that's why she's a difficult case and hard to find a good diet that will stick.
