As for the potty training, using a crate really works. Dogs won't go where they eat and sleep. There is a book called, "How to House Break Your Dog in Seven Days." While it took longer than seven days, it worked for Sydney. She's litter box trained. You keep your dog on a strict food, play, and potty schedule. Yes, she will probably bark in her crate, but that's to be expected if she isn't use to it. You might want to first start by placing treats in her crate with the door open. Eventually, she may grow to like her crate acting as if it is her den or sanctuary. Please don't give up on her. Yorkies are wonderful dogs. You just need to be patient.

When you say that Sydney is litter box trained, do you mean it in the same way that a cat is litter box trained ie. with cat litter in the bottom, or do you just use a pee pad? I am having a really hard time training Daisy and would be interested to know how you go about doing this.............
