Snorting/Sneezing Noise...new mom please help :) Okay so I am a first time new mommy to a beautiful 8 month old female yorkie baby. I have only had her for about two weeks now but I have noticed that when she is playing and gets really excited she will constantly make this sort of sneezing snorting sound. It's not a reverse sneeze she is blowing air out her nose.
I thought about a collapsing trachea but I only walk her on a harness and she does not do this when we are walking or running which we do 3 or 4 times a day. I asked the old owner and they said they thought she just had allergies. The said she had her first shots and has been examined by a vet they don't have the paperwork but have directed me to the vet where I can get it (and plan to do so).
She does do it occasionally when were just relaxing but it is really a lot when we are playing and she is getting worked up. She doesn't bark and only growls when trying to get me to play tug of war with her. Is this something I should be concerned and see the vet for or is this a common thing to this breed? I have looked up EVERYTHING I can about this breed and haven't found this mentioned anywhere except the trachea problems. Thanks in advance!! |
