Ahhh...poor baby...She sounds just darling
I am really sorry that I can't offer too much experience. I did know a dog who was 2 y/o and had a stroke. He was paralyzed for a while. The owners did accupucnture and water theraphy. They did rehab him to a point that he could walk again, but obviously not like he was before the stroke.
Have you looked at the Yahoo Groups yet? You might find some other pet owners that have more experience as well.
