I've been contemplating it for some time myself. I had made up my mind to do Sophie, but Ivan was another matter. You know..I just hated to give up that long coat but with the addition of Alfie and all the playing and tumbling around, Ivan was getting golf ball size matts....DAILY! I groom my dogs daily and everyday I'd spend more and more time on Ivan getting his matts out. Then they started to get close to his skin and he'd just yip and cry out. It broke my heart. So i took the plunge and did it and I am SO GLAD I DID!
I figure when Alfie grows up and isn't in so much of a puppy mode and settles down some, then I will grow the hair out on all three of them.
Just do it! You won't regret it. Like Nancy's breeder said...it grows back.
