I am glad mom did well. It is nerve racking delivering pups. I prefer to keep the cords around 1/2 inch. We normally tie them off with dental floss and cut off any excess. If you leave too much then the mom will keep trying to chew it off. The main thing is you want to make sure they are not bleeding.
