There is not age limit and many are not ready until 2. Some people perfer to grow the coat and start in Open (adults). I would start at a fun match and handling classes. Go to regular shows to learn grooming etc..you learn by watching.
My Katherine's father was not shown until he was 3 yrs..and he finished with no trouble.
