Where are you going to have the surgery done? I ask, because Dr. Tobias at U of Tenn is the leader in LS Surgery, and quite a few people have traveled (and will travel) to U of Tenn to have this done. The cost is very inexpensive, I have seen quotes of approx. $1300 to $1800 (inlcuding all bloodwork, scintography, LS surgery, spay/neuter and baby teeth removal). Not bad at all.
Can you tell us more about your baby? What are his BAT results? What "other" tests have you done to confirm a Liver Shunt? What food are you feeding? Is he on Lactulose and Antib's? Any liver support supplements? I do know you want to boost his immune system and try to get him as healthy as possible and no HE symptoms before the "big day"
