My dog Daisy has Microvascular Dysplasia (or, "MVD") which is microscopic shunting of the liver so her situation is a little different from yours. Nevertheless I have learned that Dr. Karen Tobias at the University of Tennesee is the BEST when it comes to liver shunt and having surgery there is much cheaper. They invented the surgical procedure of use of the ameroid constrictor so if it was my dog, that's where I'd be going.
