She may not be able to take care of the pup because she's sick ... that happens a lot. Also, if her grooming was neglected for whatever reason, it's a lot easier for the Rescue (AND the dog!) to get clipped short, to grow out with proper care and brushing.
She has little (big?) bat ears
. When her hair grows back, they won't be so noticeable
. Right now, it's part of her charm.
As others have said, weight has nothing to do with holding one's own. Bella is about 4.5 lbs. Puddie's about 9, Jax is 14, and Nitro is 70. Puddie may *think* he's alpha, but only as long as he doesn't do something Bella doesn't like. THEN she reads him the riot act. And Nitro backs her up

The little one is cute. She needs a home. If she fits the bill, make her one of the family ... she'll fit in nicely.
