I know I'm the farthest thing from an expert, but just from what I've noticed looking at pictures...the biggest visual difference I can see is that Biewers tend to have a similar pattern/layout to their colors, as Misty said. Not always, but usually. And partis seem to have a very wide array of pattern. Some of them are mostly white, others just have patches, etc. So for the layman photo viewer, that's what I see as differences.
