Chattiesmom (that's her username here) makes beautiful step-in harnesses with matching leads. She can make them in a sturdier size for your bigger baby (I've got two large yorkies too and I love her harnesses, but I prefer the thicker size). They don't come anywhere near the neck, the dogs don't chew them, and they come in an astounding variety of colors.
