This is kind of funny...Maddie is gets scared when I cook on the stove. She's fine with the preparation, but once she smells food on the stove, she'll stay under the sofa or in the bedroom and won't come out until it's done. I just moved into a new place with new appliances. The warrantee papers were in the oven, so the first time I cooked anything, the papers caught on fire and there was lots of smoke. She was terrified of all the smoke. I think that's why the stove bothers her now. Poor thing!
