Default Haircut Question

Bri is coming up on 5 months and her hair doesn't really seem to be a problem. It hardly ever mats and she doesn't mind getting brushed. I know how to express glands and she gets a bath weekly with her ears cleaned. I cut her nails when needed, but she walks on the sidewalk and hard floors and they stay a good length.

Do I need to take her to a groomer? Should I just take her for a bath and trim? With our last yorkie, we took him every 6 weeks, but it seemed like a lot.

My local groomer has the following options:

Haircut
Include shampoo and conditioner, clip nails, pluck and clean ears, express anal glands, brush teeth, bows or bandana, cologne or perfume. If your pet has been prescribed special shampoo and conditioner from your veterinarian I urge you to please bring it with you. Switching shampoos may cause itching or interfere with skin program. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite.

Bath and Trim

Include all of the above, plus a light trim for frizzes and shaping up all over. (Not a hair cut).

Would a trim be necessary? The vet expects her to be small so I probably won't keep her hair really long. Should I wait until it needs cutting or go get a trim to keep it healthy?

Thanks in advance!
