I use to give greenies, now I just brush teeth and have the dentist check them out. Gotta be careful with these babies. As with any other chew you give a dog, you can't just give it to them and walk away. Anything from a greenie to a bully stick, to a dehydrated sweet potato chew can be really dangerous if you don't supervise. If your baby just attempts to swallow the greenie whole, then yes, she's in a lot of danger of hurting herself. Kaji learned to chew pieces off, which is how the greenie scrapes the teeth, after he tried the swallowing thing and it got stuck to the roof of his mouth. Now when I give it to him I hold it while he bites off a piece and chews away. He also does a trick before he can take a bite.
