we just had a scare ourselves and the vet told me this very morning--1/3 teaspoon 2-3 times a day. Our thing was a reaction to meds. Maggie got pink/red all over and was sort of smacking her lips as to start salavating. It was a very long night. The er vet said to watch her for any symptoms such as irritabilities, racing heartbeat, trouble breathing, vomiting--things along those lines. Of course Maggie had a couple of those going on. Fortunately she is fine this morning and I do not think that I will need the benedryl. Thank goodness!

Maggie is about 4.5 - just under 5 lbs.
