the thing is that a lot of yorkies love their moms and dads arms the most and they are scared of being held by other people. i had two yorkie in the office today and bot h of them i did ask to hold and love on and both of them tried to get back to mom or dad and away from stranger me...luckily i know that yorkies like to try and jump out of your arms and i was also sitting at a desk in which the dogs can easily just walk across the surface back to mom or dad if they get nervous.
i love to love on and hold puppies, but i ALWAYS ask if i can touch them or hold them and it's not offensive to be told NO. it's either because they don't want people's hands all over their new puppy or because sometimes the dog is a biter or mean and it's stupid to just walk up and pet or pick up a dog you don't know very well....
and yes i also hate it when people especially children pick up Sadie. it scares me that they will drop her and she will fall out of their arms. it's happened before!! |
