Good response. Everyone understands when it comes to money and you've told them about previous injuries and the vet costs.
When it comes to petting, if it is children 10 and under, I explain that they should approach the kids from the front and below their mouths. The children understand and remember it better than most adults who pat(all but slap) the pups on top of their heads.
