Best wishes to your little Mee-kah for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Please call your vet to clarify how long to hold water because I think it is 2-3 hours before surgery.
I have boys, but I would imagine some of the same post-op instructions apply. Keep the dog quiet, no running or jumping or other strenuous activity for at least a few days. My vet advised taking it easy for 10 to 14 days, which is tough because they tend to bounce back so quickly.
No baths for a couple of weeks.
