I'm a big believer in the plain yogurt for my babies. I just mix a spoonful in with the dry food once a day. I've tried the cottage cheese and they gave it the cold shoulder- maybe it was the texture.

Supplements can actually cause damage if given during the puppy stage. The extra calcium can make the bones grow larger, but with out the density required to keep them strong. You can google the studies. Over calcium supplementation has been linked to hip dysplasia and several other bone disorders.

Tums is just calcium carbonate, but it doesn't have the phosphorous or Vit. D that the body needs to absorb it properly.
