As someone already said, the rebates are automatically applied (so no waiting for something to come in the mail). Also, the last time I upgraded my phone, the "rebate" was going to be basically in-store credit not real money. They may have changed this as it's been almost a year since I upgraded...but something to keep in mind.

Oh, and when I first ordered a phone online I was worried that activating it would be a hassle but it really isn't. You get instructions with the phone in the mail and you just call this 800 number and it does it for you automatically. Super simple.

yeah last time i did a buy it get one free in the store and i got a gift card with the rebate amount on it sent to me for $50 so they are now doing gift cards not checks. I had to fill out all the paperwork and stuff and it was a hassle so this time doing online but have to anyway when doing the one year instead of the two year upgrade. They dropped it from $100 credit for 2 year down to 50.00 now so at a one year upgrade as i like to get a new phone every year you just get the discounted price but no $50 credit. It extends out contract one year. If you get the free phone on the BOGO deal then the other person also has to extend their contract 2 years. We did it as dh is old school still has an older phone he loves (hates change - yep 15 years apart lol- i am the timex he is the granfather clock) so we got the phone extended his contract and sold it to my brother as he wanted the phone but was not up for renewal and did not want to pay top dollar for phone
