I live up north - my garden is not fenced - and I am trying to train Lizzie to just 'go' outside. First thing in the morning as soon as I get up, Lizzie and Mr. Darcy get up too (they both sleep on our bed - so not crated)
....I know to catch her right away (or she goes on her pppad) I have to put on their harnesses, then clip them onto two very thin (strong) ropes, at my side door - I DO stand and watch them, but as soon as they get outside, Lizzie gets so excited she jumps all over Mr. Darcy!.....so of course they are totally tangled in about 30 seconds! I have tried tying them on the same hook, and also tried on 2 separate hooks about 3 feet apart - she still tangles them all up. I know walking them might solve this problem, but I have to get dressed etc. and there is no time...Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
