I think they do. If I'm gone for a few minutes and I see them they are just waggin their tails, like hey what's up? Once we were gone for near 2 weeks. When we came home Uni was waiting for us on the back of the couch facing the front door and her head was down and ears back, but tail wagging like crazy. Like she was thinking she was hallucinating, Is it really them? Then my MIL told me EVERY time a car drove by she ran to the door hoping it was us. So yea, they DEF know time.
Also for Katie, my foster who I've only had for 2+ months, when it's 7:30pm she knows it's almost time to go home, and she gets restless until it's time to go. They can tell time and they don't even need a watch or calendar!
