I'm the person that use to take 1 1/2 hours to get out the door and this includes skipping breakfast and picking my outfit the night before. Now when I buy clothes, I make sure they wash out well with paw prints and dirt. When it comes to my shoes I like them to hold up to trail walks/hikes and waterproof enough to take the hosing down. I traded knitted for fleece because I worry his nails will get caught.

I keep my hair longer now so I can pull it back into a ponytail and wear a baseball cap so that my dog can see my eyes when we're training. I go to my hairdresser 3 times a year, he goes to the groomer every 2 1/2 months.

One of the first things you see when you come through my front door is a grooming table, his bike trailer, his kennel and dog bed. And oh, did I tell you we're getting a king size bed even though I am 5 ft. tall and weight 100 lbs.?

He has a regular vet and a holistic vet who is also a accupuncturist and nutritionist. We home cook- bought a slow cooker for some of his recipes and a dehydrator for his treats. We can eat his food and treats before we add his supplements, most of the recipes are tasty but need some spicing up.

Yes, my home and my fashion sense has gone to the dogs and I look like a hiker on most days... but my dog has taught me plenty- dress sensible and comfortably, exercise, eat well, give back, don't sweat the small stuff because life is good here!
