Another comparison for you: my active boys each eat 3/4 cup daily of Fromm Chicken kibble. Max weighs 8.0 pounds and Teddy, the waif, 7 pounds and 3 ounces.
I would say Jackson definitely needs at least a cup of just about any kibble you choose. His physique looks perfect to me.
