Don't give in to him and give him the whole room. That let's him know, "hey, if I whine about this then I get MY WAY." You want him to be spoiled, but well trained and well behaved as well. Crate training is crucial. Have you tried a smaller crate more suitable for a Yorkie. Crates should be only big enough that they can stand up and turn around in. It should be their little "home", their safe place. Hope things turn around for ya!
