Maybe try a few treats last thing at night, and/or feed him his dinner a bit later in the evening. Some dogs vomit foamy liquid in the morning from having an empty stomach too long overnight. He may refuse food in the AM bc he just vomited. If he stops, try offering him a small breakfast in the AM
