Where I live we tend to have a tick problem so I had the vet give Callie the lyme vaccine. Frontline doesn't work for us so we tried Advantix and it works good most of the time sometimes though its not so good on the fourth week but my vet said its ok to treat them after three weeks. My grandpa treated the yard with a bug killer that is safe for Callie after it dries and we didnt have to treat her every three weeks, we where able to wait the four weeks. The yard hasn't been treated yet this year and last week was bad almost two ticks a day so I had to treat her a little early. Remember to also watch for him scratching it and keep an eye on where the tick was.
