Sometimes people get lost in grief and they over look the happiness that was there. I'm glad to hear that your heart has opened so quickly. We are meant to love and share our love. Puppies are the best thing to help a sad heart. When we lost our girl bassett of 11yrs, we said we couldn't get another, but within a few months we were at a breeders picking one out. We choose to get a boy instead of a girl, that I think was a little easier on our guilt lvl. I hope you are able to find a breeder close, so maybe you can start bonding with your new puppy before they are ready to come home with you.
