I guess the only thing I don't understand is why, after you saw them breeding, you did not take her in and get her spayed then. Right now it is just a guessing game as to what to do. How big is this little girl? Can you tell if the pups have dropped. Usually once the pups drop it is 2 or 3 more days until the pups are born. I think I would lean toward just watching her a few more days since you don't know when she actually bred. Watch her closely and don't leave her alone. Have you ever delivered a litter of pups before? Contact your vet and be prepared for a emergency c-section if she starts having problems delivering. Please keep us posted on how she does.
BTW, diapers and panties will not keep a determined male from breeding a female in heat. The only way to safely prevent unwanted pregnancies is to get one or both neutered or keep them in a different room or a covered pen where there is no chance of them getting together. |
