 Neutering: What age?
I'm reading lots of conflicting opinions on what age to neuter my boy. There is no question I will be neutering him, I'm just not sure when is the best time to do it. Having always had large dogs, there was never an issue on getting them neutered before 6 months. Never had any problems with it either.
But I'm not sure on these little guys. My vet says Rhett is ready and we could do it before he turns 6 months (he's 17 weeks now). His testes are down and he is a gordo in the weight department (5.9 lbs today!)
The topic came up today because I asked about microchipping him and she prefers to do both at the same time to minimize pain to the little guys.
So my question is: When did you neuter your males and why at that age?
