The 4 yr. old was taken in for surgery around 11 and when I left at 4 he was not out of surgery yet. The injuries that they are aware of right now are a collapsed lung, broken hip, some cracked vertebrae, and skull fractures.
The baby girl 1 1/2 yr. old is in a full body cast.
They were considering taking her in for surgery and performing a procedure to help relieve some of the swelling in her body. She will probably need a blood transfusion.
These children were found in trees. So the force of being thrown into the trees most likely is where they received their injuries. The boys have broken bones on the right side of their body and the girl on the left side of her body. Thank you all for your continued prayers. |
Where were the children at when the tornado struck? Inside or outside?
So much damage to such little bodies. I'm praying for them.
I heard on the news this morning that they've lowered the death count from 5 to 2, because they had originally believed these 3 children had not survived.
