I have been on the fence about cutting her short this summer.
She has a cotton coat, and it is looking a little messy now. Not to mention, she is already panting and looking for a cool place to lay down in the afternoons.

Oh thank you, actually, I think it's even better on a cotton coat, their legs look fuller, I didn't want to do it because his coat was so perfect, he's never tangles or mats, but I thought it was such a cute cut. I know for sure that I'd do it on a cotton coat, "no more tangles." Feel free to print it out. Mardelin, a wonderful breeder here, said the official name for the cut is a "Modified Schnauzer with a puppy head", just in case your groomer has never heard of the "Joey".
